Our coral reefs are irreplaceable,
let’s save them.
About Us
West Indies Marine Research & Conservation Organization (WIMCRO) is a community driven non-for-profit founded in 2023 to protect and preserve the marine ecosystems of Grenada W.I. Our primary focus is facilitating active reef restoration of endangered corals on the SW coast of the main island through the use of ex-situ coral aquaculture systems.
Due to the 2023 Bleaching Event, our reefs are in need of direct restoration now more than ever, it is our goal to expand operations and increase our coral out-planting to 10,000 corals per year to help mitigate the effects of this large mortality event.
